Apprentice for York Evangelical Church
YEC runs an apprentice scheme lasting a year.
York Evangelical Church has been operating a two-tier Bible Workshop and Preachers Workshop since 2004 consisting of:
- Basic-Intermediate Level Bible Workshop: 2 modules covering ‘The Big Picture’ of Salvation History and Bible ‘Genres’
- Advanced Level Preachers Workshop: rotating modules of 1 year’s duration covering:
Grudem’s Systematic Theology Overviews of Exodus and Mark Current issues including: New perspectives on Paul; Grudem on Prophecy; ‘Already and Not Yet’ in 1 Corinthians; Ridderbos on the ‘Indicative-Imperative’ in Paul; ‘Openness Theology’; ‘Law and Grace’; Leadership Issues
- Advanced Level Preachers Workshop includes Team preaching through Bible Books

St Andrew Bebington (Chester Diocese)
Associate Minister for Townfield Church (ASA 60 adults and 30 children).
An exciting post leading our daughter church, ideal second curacy position.
The minister will join a staff team of rector, training curate, youth pastor and office staff, and will share in the leading of evening services at St Andrew’s, weddings, funerals and general parish ministry.
We are looking for a gifted Bible teacher and team builder who can work with a wide range of people and will be committed to reaching the local community.
We hope that someone will remain in this post for at least five years.
